Protector Offerings - A Demonstration by Lama O!
Dharma practitioners recite prayers to the protectors and make outer, inner and secret offerings to activate the connection to the natural compassion of enlightened beings and remind the oath-bound ones of their previous vows. These offerings should be made with the five-fold stance of deity, mantra, mudra, samadhi and offering substances with the motivation of devotion and pure intention to establish all sentient beings on the level of the
buddhas.
Here in this video, Lama Opak demonstrates to us how to make these offerings in a practical way.
Lama Opak is one of the senior monks at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, and has undergone the traditional three-year retreat twice at Asura Cave, Nepal. He received many instructions from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and has served the monastery as the main chant master and ritual master.
