Thangkas – paintings of deities - are traditionally painted on canvas and used as the main support to meditation practice. Reproduced on long-lasting canvas, these thangkas are of such high quality that at first glance they appear painted. You can choose to have your printed thangkas framed in brocade in the traditional Tibetan style or without brocade, allowing you to choose how it will be displayed.
The cycle of teachings renowned as the Guru’s Heart Practice, Dispeller of All Obstacles (Lamey Tukdrub Barchey Künsel) from the Profound Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa contains a mandala of twelve emanations of Guru Rinpoche. The late Kyabjé Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche described this precious cycle of teachings as follows:
The Barchey Künsel is the heart essence of the accomplished master Padmasambhava who perceives the three times in their entirety. It is the quintessence of one billion heart sadhanas of the Guru, the most unique terma buried in the land of Tibet; and it is the first among the Four Cycles of Guru Sadhana.
This thangka depicts the Refuge Tree associated with the Preliminary Practices of this cycle.
