Prayer flags or Lungta are used to promote PEACE, COMPASSION, STRENGTH and WISDOM. It is believed that the mantras on the flags are blown by the wind to spread good will and compassion into all pervading space, for the benefit of all sentient beings.
A majority of prayer flags are made of synthetic material and nylon string, creating a negative impact on our environment and ecosystem.
As an ethical solution, our prayer flags are made from eco-friendly, biodegradable cotton and string. This enables us to preserve their sanctity whilst lessening our environmental footprint as we offer the blessings imbued in them. The mantras are printed in the colors of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and space.
The flags are produced in Nepal by a women-led business that gives back a portion of the proceeds to various social causes.
