This Red Chenrezig is associated with the practice of Korwa Dongtruk, Shaker of Samsara from Its Depths; which known for its great power and effectiveness to liberate one from the difficult rebirths of samsara. This practice was composed by Guru Rinpoche himself and revealed as a treasure by Chokgyur Lingpa in the 19th century. This practice is meant to be used during our day and age for the benefit of all sentient beings.
