The golden gawu here is an amulet box where one can place sacred materials such as consecrated medicine, relics, and blessing pills. The gawu with all the precious substance in it becomes an amulet box for protection.
The golden amulet in the front is marked with a double vajra or dorje gyadram symbolizing compassion and skillful means with four lotus mounted vajra heads permeating from the center towards the four cardinal points. The central stone here is diamond which is the most precious of stones symbolizing strength, clarity and indestructibility. The four vajras in four the cardinal points represents the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing and subduing.
The amulet in the back is engraved with the precious seal.
