This extraordinary item is prepared in accordance with the instructions given in the treasure text The Heart Essence of Oral Instructions (Sheldam Nyingjang), which was first taught by Guru Rinpoche to Lhasey Lotsa (also known as Yeshe Rolpa Tsal and Murub Tsepo), the middle son of King Trisong Deutsen. In the 18th century, Lhasey Lotsa reincarnated as the supreme treasure-revealer Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa and uncovered the Heart Essence of Oral Instructions.
In this precious text, Guru Rinpoche prophesied clearly that in the future, practitioners would encounter many different obstacles for their dharma practice such as emotional problems, uneasiness, depression, and family problems and conflicts. With his extraordinary wisdom and compassion he taught a myriad of skilful means for us to dispel these obstacles and enhance our dharma practice.
For this reason, with the wish to help modern-day practitioners suffering from conflicts within their own circle of family and friends, we have prepared these Two Jewels of Harmony following the instructions laid out by Guru Rinpoche in The Heart Essence of Oral Instructions. We have also coated the inside of the mirror with extraordinary blessings: Yeshe Tsogyal’s red rakta, and the All-Embodying Pills made by Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, with all of the blessings they possessed.
The Two Jewels therefore embody the three things are said to bring together the extraordinary benefits of the Secret Mantra: substances, mantras, and samadhi (meditative concentration). The mirror, sun and moon and blessings embody the benefits of substances; the mantras written on them embody the benefits of mantra; and the confidence and trust you have in the benefits of the object as well as the meditation through which Rinpoche has blessed them embody the benefits of samadhi.
Thus, this set is not just an ordinary object; it is something extremely blessed and endowed with the power to pacify family conflicts and increase harmony.
